About:

The Communications Planning team at Macy’s is a team of in-house paid media strategists, accountable for integrated campaign plans (strategy & activation), audience strategy, marketing of strategic initiatives and media productivity. As cross-team peer leaders, the Communications Planning team is responsible for bringing over ~150 campaigns to life annually.


Overview of Position

In partnership with the Director, the Assistant will be responsible for the development of integrated marketing communications plans.

Measured outcomes for the role will focus on successful and timely development & implementation of the campaign.


Key Accountabilities

  • Support Specialists and Director in developing the communications plans for multiple campaigns.
  • Full ownership for briefing media agency and requesting audience segments for multiple channels and campaigns.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across various marketing groups including Creative Strategy, Content Planning, Project Management, Publishing, Media, Customer, Digital & Stores teams.
  • Responsible for recapping of marketing efforts and post campaign analysis.
  • Responsible for competitive analysis and providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Must be able to develop narratives based on data-driven insights and data storytelling.
  • Develop business acumen – understanding of business priorities, outcomes, brand impact and bottom-line efficiency.
  • Lead process discussions and recommend optimizations.
  • Develops self – attend ongoing development and training recommended by Director.
  • Special marketing projects and assignments with support from the Director may be assigned.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
