We are looking for a recent -or soon to be- graduate to join our team.
The Role
You will join our strong and lean team responsible for providing Lending services to our Nordic Shipping and New Energies clients. You will be part of Client Service Teams which are multiple product teams that are coordinated by the coverage banker to tackle client questions and develop commercial propositions. Primary tasks are:
- Develop the skills for performing credit, financial and market analysis
- Participate in the structuring and execution of large loan transactions
- Regular interaction with clients as well as stakeholders both internally as well as external parties
- Ensure internal monitoring and reporting systems up to date and correct
Your Profile
- Master degree or Master student (MSc/MBA) in Economics / (Sustainable) Finance or similar
- Genuine interest in the energies and/or shipping sector
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of financial modelling and valuations
- Responsible, structured and solutions oriented
- Flexible, open, trustworthy and cooperative attitude
- Self-going with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Readiness to work efficiently in cross-border teams
- Fluent in English and one of the Scandinavian languages

The Oslo branch was established in 1992. Our business in Oslo is centered around larger, professional clients, active in New Energies and Shipping in the Nordics. The loan portfolio to Nordic clients is substantial and we offer our clients a wide range of funding solutions. We are a small, but strong team of Coverage and Structured Finance Lending professionals working from a central location at Olav V’s gate in Oslo.
Financing Solutions (“FS”) is the Lending unit of ABN AMRO Corporate Bank where all Lending offerings and expertise are clustered. FS is responsible for the origination, structuring, execution and portfolio management of a variety of Lending products for all sectors and segments. In close collaboration with other product-teams of FS and Risk Management, the Lending team in Oslo is responsible for structuring complex tailor-made bilateral- and syndicated financing solutions for our clients in the Nordics. In addition, it acts as the ‘first-line of defence’ in managing the risk of the Lending portfolio. The credit risk assessment is conducted on the back of (credit) experience and specific client- and sector knowledge. After obtaining credit risk approval, Lending negotiates the documentation with the client including coordination with external advisors (legal, technical, insurance, market). Lending ensures the credit quality of the existing Lending portfolio is growing in a sound and sustainable way.
