Responsibilities: Database Management and Maintenance: Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of MS SQL databases. Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as updating statistics, rebuilding indexes, and checking database integrity. Monitor database systems to detect and resolve performance bottlenecks and capacity issues. Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patch installations as needed. Database Design and Optimization: Work closely with development teams to design efficient database schemas and optimize queries. Assist in the design and implementation of database solutions for high-availability and disaster recovery. Review and optimize SQL code to improve database performance. Implement and maintain database partitioning, indexing, and other performance optimization techniques. Database Security: Develop and enforce database security policies and procedures. Regularly audit database systems for compliance with security policies and industry best practices. Implement and maintain data encryption and other security measures to protect sensitive data. Coordinate with IT security teams to address and mitigate database-related vulnerabilities. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for database-related issues to internal teams and external partners. Troubleshoot and resolve complex database problems, including performance issues, data corruption, and system failures. Develop and maintain documentation for database systems, policies, and procedures. Train and mentor junior DBAs and other team members on best practices for MS SQL database administration. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams, system administrators, and network engineers to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other IT infrastructure components. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide timely updates on database-related projects and issues. Participate in cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of new business initiatives requiring database expertise.

Requisitos
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a MS SQL Database Administrator, with a strong track record of managing complex database systems. Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server, including T-SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques, including query optimization, indexing, and partitioning. Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements, such as GDPR and HIPAA. Strong understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering, replication, and log shipping. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms, such as Azure SQL Database or Amazon RDS, is a plus.
